Being Salman Khan!

Yes, this blog is dedicated to my most adorable actor-Salman, not for his stardom but for what he is, Being Human!! We all know Salman Khan for his stardom, his hits, his misses, his controversies, but lets see Salman as The Salman!

I haven't read any of his biographies and the content of this blog is truly subjective to my opinion. So i don’t expect many people to agree with me, neither do I expect that! Lets start with what we all know about him on the surface- He is single, 46, with a history of around 80 movies till now, grabbed about 22 awards , voted as the Best looking Man by People's Magazine , have had his wax statue for Madame Tussauds in London along with Amitabh, Aishwarya and Shahrukh. This is just a snapshot of his achievements with many missing from this list. Then comes the legal issues , the relationship problems and fatwas against him. But the very reason I find him adorable, sought after and impressive is for his attitude, which though got him both good and bad, nevertheless he stuck to it. Agreed Shahrukh, Amitabh and others are self made men, so is Salman. Agreed they have had their part of bad luck, so had Salman. Agreed they fought and passed through, so has Salman. The thing that makes him different is he is always having his bad luck aside constantly, probably he will be never done with it. But he doesn't lack the courage to face it, infact his spirits are high and confident. This shows in his persona, he is a loner, but still lively. He did harm people in the past, but now he is the only one most active in charity and helping out the needy. His Being Human is doing commendable job, else nobody would know about it! There are more people thronged in front of his gate than there are in front of Shahrukh's or Amitabh's or Aamir's or anybody else. Why should we always criticize him for his wrong doings? He did, he did loose his calm but who doesn't? Moreover to handle it all with the loud media crying out against you, people backstabbing you, the pressure of stardom, and what not! Inspite of being such a big star, he has not managed to get a single girl stuck to him! Media says he is possessive but who is not if he is serious enough! It would still be better if I don’t comment on this since I am not aware of both the sides. We don't know how much does this bother him, but he truly seems to be focused on his career. There was a point of time when he ruined himself because of his relationship problems, but he moved on and so should we!

I find his persona much wider, livelier and attractive than any other actor in the industry. He is passionate, funny, emotional, strong, caring and deserving for what he is. He has supported his family throughout, got his brothers some work when they had none! He did commit some mistakes, but I guess he is doing enough now to make up for all that. Though he can't return what all he ruined, but his guilt and his efforts to make up that loss should be still appreciated. May be that's the reason he still rules the heart of so many. He is having his share of people who are against him, but he still have many friends in the Industry. More people from the industry were there to support him in his last ramp walk than were there with Shahrukh. I find him straight forward, he is never scared to speak his mind, and he is not pretentious! He has the guts to accept it all, whatever comes his way and still carry it off with his laughs. Last but not the least that I admire him for, at least he is doing his bit to help people, unlike Shahrukh buying cricket teams and Mukesh Ambani building crores of "Antilla"!

This is it, I am done with what all I had to say. This is the charm of him; he has finally compelled me to write this piece after months! Suna hai uske chahane wale...aage dus hain piche baarah!! His name is Khan, but he is SALMAN!
